I recently made a news post asking people to listen to a song I made a while back. I come back to my profile, and every song I've posted since I joined Newgrounds now has a relatively poor score.
Honestly, the high ratings on some of my newer songs were a little discouraging. If I really posted the best song I've ever made, how could I ever do any better? Just looking for something to not be upset about. Maybe someone was annoyed at the fact I dared to make a news post advertising my music, even though that's (supposedly? correct me if i'm wrong) one of the main features of news posts. Really, I have no idea.
It might even have been multiple people. One of my songs had a score of 4.8 before being brought all the way down to 3.4. I'm not sure how much voting power one person can have on Newgrounds, but that doesn't sound like one person voting to me? I dunno, maybe I'm getting too conspiratorial.
